Israel, Military Event    (1967-06-08)
• U.S. intelligence ship "U.S.S. Liberty" bombed and strafed by Israeli forces off the coast of Egypt. Ship was badly damaged but not sunk. 34 U.S. servicemen killed, 170 injured.
