Here's a recent statment from the Temple Mount Faithful movement:

"It was in the godly Six Day War 1967 when G-d returned to His people Israel these holy places and in the climax of all of this, The Temple Mount in Jerusalem... We swore before the G-d of Israel to dedicate our lives for this cause and never to stop until it comes to pass... to immediately purify the Temple Mount from Islamic pagan presence and desecration and to rebuild the Temple of G-d."
