"[U.K.] Foreign Secretary David Miliband signed the hated EU treaty - hours before Prime Minister Gordon Brown arrived in Lisbon [Portugal]... Mr Brown also later signed the document in a low key ceremony... Today's ceremony took place in the beautiful surroundings of Lisbon's 500-year-old Jeronimos Monastery. Country by country, presidents, prime ministers and foreign ministers of the EU nations were called up to put their names to the document."

It is fitting that this "ceremony" merging Britain into the revived Holy Roman Empire took place at an ornate Roman Catholic monastery, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. What a pity that Mr. Brown was too shy to consummate the marriage in public, along with the other vassals of the Empire.
"For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled." -- Revelation 17:17
UPDATE: Here's a nice photo of Tony Blair with Pope Benedict, and an article on the subject of his "conversion".
