"Madness was breaking out today [Christmas Eve] at stores across the U.S. as impatient shoppers queued up to get their hands on the first new Nike retro 'Air Jordan' shoes that went on sale for $180 a pair this morning.
Police used pepper spray in Seattle, four people were arrested in Atlanta, there were fights in Louisville, and unruly crowds forced two stores shut in Austin... The front doors of Lafayette Square Mall in Indianapolis, Indiana, were broken off their hinges at 7am as shoppers ran inside and several people were knocked over in the mad rush...[as] 1,500 turned up for 300 pairs of shoes." (see video)
The mob that tore the doors off the mall are young blacks, most of whom are living on government handouts including welfare checks, food stamps, housing vouchers, etc.* Yet they still have $180 to blow on a pair of shoes? After trampling everyone else to get them?
Compare this with the similar violence across the country on "Black Friday" last month. What a crass and savage place America has become! These days, it doesn't matter whether it's Wall Street or Wal-Mart, the ethics are the same.
UPDATE: Holiday violence continued on 26-Dec at the "Mall of America" in Minnesota when a bunch of young blacks starting rioting (see video). According to local news reports, "It took a force of roughly 30 police and mall security officers more than an hour to bring the moving melee under control".
In 1789, President George Washington proclaimed the last Thursday of November "a day of public Thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favours of Almighty God." Christmas has always been a time for spiritual reflection, thanksgiving and goodwill towards others.
Now, after a century of Humanist indoctrination and commercial propaganda, those traditions have been erased from the public mind. The true spirit of Christmas has been replaced by an insane frenzy of material self-gratification during the so-called "holiday season", and to hell with anyone that gets in the way!
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
Speaking of the lust of the flesh, "It's Free, Swipe yo' EBT!" is a raunchy, satirical rap video about the welfare culture and the magic EBT debit card. Each swipe increases the public debt and the interest paid to the banking syndicate. Bondage is wonderful, isn't it? Let's just call it "socialism" and everyone will vote for it...
