According to promoters of the "greenhouse theory", increasing atmospheric CO2 is supposed to result in more heat being trapped and continuously rising temperatures isn't it? Haven't they proven that this effect is rapidly accelerating? Why, everyone knows that in just a few decades, the ice caps will melt and the coastal cities will disappear like lost Atlantis!

David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes - or eventually "feel" virtual cold."

Right!

But except for a few thousand actual scientists, who really cares whether or not the data supports the theory? When the ice caps *don't* melt and London remains 30m above sea level another ten years from now, the eco-socialists will claim credit for having prevented the disaster. Politically, it's a win-win situation.
