The "man-made climate change" propaganda campaign, developed by the oligarchs and led by the Rockefeller-sponsored Club of Rome, is part of the long-standing population control agenda. The fear-mongers exaggerate minor fluctuations, make scary and unrealistic projections, and ignore or distort the historic record. For example, they claim that man-made CO2 will (somehow) reach a "tipping point" and cause the ice caps to melt entirely, resulting in a catastrophic sea level rise which will flood coastal cities in the next 50 years. OMG! Save us, Captain Planet!*

According to the NASA Goddard Institute, former home of climate alarmist James Hansen of the Rockefeller-sponsored Columbia Earth Institute, the Antarctic ice sheet, by far the largest ice mass on the planet, has actually gained ~100 billion tons of ice per year for the past 20+ years, even while atmospheric CO2 concentrations have been rising. Is this consistent with the alleged runaway "greenhouse effect"?

The ice core record over the past half million years shows a regular cycle of "ice ages" separated by relatively short interglacial warm periods, closely correlated with solar activity and orbital cycles. If the pattern holds, the current holocene interglacial period is just about over. Sea levels rose considerably at the end of the last ice age, as expected, then reached a plateau about 6000 years ago. The level has been fairly steady (+/- 1 meter) since then, currently rising at about 4 mm/yr (see figure 3 in this article).

Atmospheric CO2, essential for plant life, is now about 400 parts per million (or 0.04%) but was much higher in the past, long before the industrial age. The so-called "greenhouse effect" on temperature rapidly flattens out as the atmospheric CO2 concentration increases, and a doubling to 800 ppm would merely stimulate crop yields and forest growth:

"With a combination of temperature and solar induced cloud feedback, we deduce a CO2 climate sensitivity of 0.6 deg C [as concentration doubles from 400 to 800 ppm, see figure 14]... From our investigations, which are based on actual spectroscopic data and which consider all relevant feedback processes as well as the solar influence, we can conclude that a CO2 'climate sensitivity' [temperature effect] larger than 1 deg C seems quite improbable."

* The "Captain Planet" series (see video) was developed by billionaire Ted Turner and his Turner Broadcasting System in the 1990s. Aimed at gullible children, it features all of the standard neo-pagan earth worship themes. Turner, an elitist with five children, is on record stating that the rest of the human herd should be reduced by 75% from present levels.

The list of billionaire vote-buyers just keeps on growing. Most people have heard of George Soros, Michael Bloomberg, Sheldon Adelson and David Koch. But activists like Tom Steyer are less well known outside of "global governance" circles.

The 100 largest donors in the 2014 cycle gave almost as much money to candidates as the 4.75 million people who gave $200 or less... It means that candidates running for office are genuflecting before an audience of 100 wealthy individuals to fuel their campaigns... Liberal Democrats like to blow their bugles about how all the big money in politics comes from rich Republicans. Actually, as Vogel points out, 52 of the 100 top donors are Democrats, and the No. 1 donor by far [in 2014] is Democrat Tom Steyer, who chipped in $74 million."

Here's a sample of the puerile propaganda from Steyer's organization, NextGen Climate Action, featuring a liberal "greenie" who was foolish enough to build her house in a mountain stream bed -- and then to whine about "climate change" when it gets washed away. As usual, the appeal to the audience is primarily emotional rather than factual, throwing around epithets like "science deniers" to smear critics of the man-made disaster cult while promising to deliver "climate security" to the clueless. Ironically, she is pictured standing in front of a carbon-spewing, tree-crunching bulldozer. But doesn't her 20-something daughter look cute waving the red socialist flag?

Note that Steyer is a graduate of Yale and Goldman Sachs, where he worked with Robert Rubin. His father was a lawyer with the notorious Sullivan and Cromwell law firm.

The latest global warming scare story, based on a NASA press release, claims that Greenland is melting at an "unprecedented" rate:

"The Greenland ice sheet melted at a faster rate this month than at any other time in recorded history, with virtually the entire ice sheet showing signs of thaw... About half of Greenland's surface ice sheet melts during a typical summer..."

The "entire ice sheet" is melting! London is doomed! Or, is it? Later, the writer admits:

"In the centre of Greenland, the ice remains up to 3,000 metres deep. On the edges, however, the ice is much thinner and has been melting into the sea."

The "recorded history" of satellite observations spans about 40 years. The "entire ice sheet", which is more than 100,000 years old, covers 1,800,000 km2 with an average depth of 1500 meters. Every summer there is a bit of surface melt followed by re-freezing, having a negligible effect on the total volume.

How long would it take to melt this massive sheet of solid ice, larger than the entire state of Alaska and over a mile thick, which receives millions of tons of fresh snow every year, located north of the arctic circle where the average inland temperature is well below the freezing point most of the year?

For comparison, here's a story about a small man-made snowpile a mere 25 meters deep which still hasn't melted even in the mild coastal climate of Anchorage, Alaska.

"An international team that includes scientists from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) has published a reconstruction of the climate in northern Europe over the last 2,000 years based on the information provided by tree-rings... The researchers have been able for the first time to precisely demonstrate that the long-term trend over the past two millennia has been towards climatic cooling... Their findings demonstrate that this trend involves a cooling of -0.3°C per millennium due to gradual changes to the position of the sun and an increase in the distance between the Earth and the sun."

The latest edition of the famous Times Atlas claims that 15% of the Greenland ice sheet has disappeared in the past decade due to "climate change". Never mind that actual satellite observations show that the alleged ice-free area is in fact still covered with ice.

"Following its controversial decision to produce a map suggesting that Greenland has lost 15 per cent of its ice cover in the last twelve years - a loss rate disputed by most credible scientists - the Times Comprehensive Atlas Of The World has decided to take its new role as cheerleader for Climate Change alarmism a step further. In its upcoming 14th edition, unconfirmed rumours suggest, it will completely omit Tuvalu, the Maldives and major parts of Bangladesh in order to convey the "emotional truth" about "man made climate change".

One wonders what sort of "information" the forecasters at Weather Central are likely to dispense in the future. Local forecasts are one thing, but what about analysis of trends at the global level?

The son of Evelyn de Rothschild, David Meyer de Rothschild, has been an ardent promoter of both the "man-made global warming" theory and the sustainable development agenda through his Adventure Ecology organization. That should provide a clue.

According to promoters of the "greenhouse theory", increasing atmospheric CO2 is supposed to result in more heat being trapped and continuously rising temperatures isn't it? Haven't they proven that this effect is rapidly accelerating? Why, everyone knows that in just a few decades, the ice caps will melt and the coastal cities will disappear like lost Atlantis!

Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes - or eventually "feel" virtual cold."

But except for a few thousand actual scientists, who really cares whether or not the data supports the theory? When the ice caps *don't* melt and London remains 30m above sea level another ten years from now, the eco-socialists will claim credit for having prevented the disaster. Politically, it's a win-win situation.

Award-winning huckster Al Gore, Jr. has become an overnight billionaire from non-productive "carbon credit" trading based on those claims. Even the chairman of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) himself has been caught profiting from fear-mongering and the false claim in the IPCC 2007 report that Himalayan glaciers were rapidly melting "due to global warming", when in fact most glaciers are growing worldwide. Gore and the IPCC shared the Nobel Prize for this profitable fraud back in 2007.

"Two years ago the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued a benchmark report that was claimed to incorporate the latest and most detailed research into the impact of global warming. A central claim was the world's glaciers were melting so fast that those in the Himalayas could vanish by 2035. In the past few days the scientists behind the warning have admitted that it was based on a news story in the New Scientist, a popular science journal, published eight years before the IPCC's 2007 report. It has also emerged that the New Scientist report was itself based on a short telephone interview with Syed Hasnain, a little-known Indian scientist then based at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi. Hasnain has since admitted that the claim was "speculation" and was not supported by any formal research".

The anti-development "carbon emissions == global warming" scam is only one aspect of the eco-socialist assault on humanity. There's also the program to starve the third world by cutting off grain exports in the name of producing "bio-fuels" instead:

"One-quarter of all the maize [corn] and other grain crops grown in the US now ends up as biofuel in cars rather than being used to feed people, according to new analysis... The grain grown to produce fuel in the US in 2009 was enough to feed 330 million people for one year at average world consumption levels..."

UPDATE: The IPCC was recently caught distorting the facts again, this time regarding the Amazon jungles, claiming that "up to 40% of the Amazonian forests could react drastically to even a slight reduction in precipitation" despite clear evidence to the contrary. This scare story, like the bogus glacier melting claims, was based on reports produced by the notorious World Wildlife Fund.

"So, the rainforest scare, like the Himalayan glaciers panic, is garbage. A further encouraging feature of this development is that genuine scientists are increasingly becoming emboldened to challenge the IPCC's junk science... An even bigger tear-jerker was the plight of polar bears, bolstered by carefully cropped photographs of lonely bears stranded on fast-melting icebergs... The official legend is that polar bears are threatened with extinction by global warming... The bottom line is the actual statistics, conceded even by warmists: since 1970 the world's polar bear population has 'declined' from 5,000 to 25,000."
